Beginners Quilt
These are held once a month every 3rd Wed and every 3rd Sat of the month.
Bring your own project or let us help choose one, feel free to come in to the store and chose your materials and any equipment you may need before the class.
We get you started on your project and give ongoing help throughout to completion.
$20 per day plus materials

Friends of the Barn Koha Quilt Group
The Friends of the Barn group makes Koha quilts for charititable organisations and those in need.
Fabrics are donated by generous quilters, thereby helping to reduce an out of control stash!
Women’s Refuge, Foster NZ, Hospice and Birthright are just some of the recipients of the quilts made by this group.
Friends of the Barn meet on the 1st Wed of the month, new members are always welcome.
Tuesday Group
Meets every Tuesday to sew and socialise, new members welcome.
Wednesday Group
Meets every 2nd Wed of the month to sew and socialise, new members welcome.
Friday Knitters
Meets weekly- new members welcome.

Learn to Knit and Learn to Crochet
Last Sunday of the month - Next workshops 2024: July 28th, August 25th, September 29th, October 27th, November 24th
Lets start your own project or begin Learning to Knit - a beanie / Learning to Crochet - dishcloth
10am - 4pm, Class Fee $15.00, does not including materials
Learn to Sew
Expressions of interest taken and then a date will be set. Workshops will run for 5 weeks on Mondays 4.30pm - 6.30pm.
Learn how to use a pattern, cut out, and sew a little girls dress.
Workshop Fee $120 (for 5 weeks). Including pattern, but not materials.
Participants will need their own sewing machine.
Embroidered Pin Cushions
December 7th / 10am - 4pm
Learn how to embroider your very own pin cushion. Choose from an apple or a pear shape.
Workshop fee $35 (includes pattern only) plus materials. Felt only kit available for $25, bring your own threads.
Choice a date and Register to secure your place.

Make a table runner for Christmas or any other occasion
Approx 105cm x 36cm
Workshop Fee $30 plus materials.
Learn to Quilt - Mat/Cot
October 12th & 13th 10am – 4pm
Make a simple small quilt for the new baby or a lap quilt.
A good quilt for beginners. Approx 1.1m x 1.2m
Pre-cut kits available approx. $75 (top only)

Flower Collage
Nov 30th / 10am – 4pm
This is a panel with all the fabrics required to fill in the picture. Choose from a sunflower or a daisy.
Learn how to machine applique.
Workshop Fee $30 plus materials. Panel is $36
